Jotaro Kujo possesses a bizarre superpower called the "Stand." He and his grandfather, Joseph Joestar, undergo a fearsome battle, finally defeating their arch-enemy DIO. It is now 1999, eleven years later. Jotaro visits Moriocho, a village in Japan, seeking to meet Josuke Higashikata, his grandfather's illegitimate son. He is surprised to find that Josuke himself possesses powerful Stand abilities. Things are further complicated by a range of new Stand practitioners appearing in Moriocho just as Jotaro arrives. Seeking to defend his hometown, Josuke variously makes friends and enemies as he discovers the seeds of a deep evil residing in the village.
